Day 27: Peace Poetry Postcard Month

John-Luke’s hands
stretched and pulled,
painted and blessed,
then gently tied the
powdered red bone
to Paa.

And our ancestors
danced my drum into being.

In peace she beats
in tandem with my heart,
Paa, the word for water,
red the color of blood,
John-Luke, Red Wolf,
howling our unity.
